6,000 Tigers

Tigers  are  the  largest  species  of  cat . It  is  heavily  hunted   for  its  fur  and  its  bones .

All  tigers  are  endangered .    There  are  only  about  3000  or  4000  of  the  animals  left   in  the  wild !!!

There  were  100,000  tigers  100  years  ago !

Not  only  does  it  suffer  from  hunting  but  large  areas  of  its  habitat  is  being  destroyed  they  need  lots  of  space  to  hunt .  The  Bengal   tiger which  is  the  most  common  needs  dense  forest to  live   in  and  their  fur  blends  in.

They  often  eat   amber  deer,  wild  pig,  water  buffalo  and  antelope .  When  they  are  old  or  injured  they  eat  dogs  humans  and  cattle .                                                                       

 India  holds  the  worlds  largest   population  of  tigers and  the  Indian  government  has  paid  $153  million  to  tackle  poaching. Since  this  tiger  numbers  of  tigers  have   increased  by  30% .

My plan is   to  make  a  tiger  zoo  so  the  tigers  can  breed  safely .I  want  the  zoo   to  be   able  to  increase tigers to 6000  !!!!

Birds need help

We  put  bird   fee  ders  in  are  back  garden  it  was  so    cold.  Soon  I  found  some   ice  2  inches thick. We  also put out a bird house and a very very very heavy bag of bird food. P7 also put out lots of bird houses on the walk way.

Advice for teachers with animal projects

sharks      

 sharks  are  hunted  for  shark  fin  soup .  people  think  sharks  are  dangerous    animals  but  they  are    very  safe . 

              

tigers     

 Tigers  are  hunted    for  there   fur  .  There  fur  keeps  them  camuthlarg  but  they  still  get  hunted .

wolfs   

 Wolfs  are  killed  all  over  the  worled . Like  tigers  they  are  hunted  for  there  fur  .They  have  a  grate  sence  of  smell  and  there  howl  is  very  very  long  .

Falls of Clyde

My gang the AWP is wanting to help wildlife. Are first victory.  Helping save the falls of clyde

The story is that we cane to new lanark so that we could go for a walk. On our walk we found a sign saying that people were threatening to build a quarry next to the falls of clyde.  We signed a petition to stop these people from putting a quarry there. Next time we went back I remembered about it. We found a sign saying you have saved the falls of Clyde. We walked onwards and we saw that the falls of Clyde were not different one bit.   ..... we are definitely going to have more victories in the future.
